Louise Simpson is a food, wine and travel writer and photographer based in Monaco and London. She grew up on a farm in the depths of the Northamptonshire. Her family lived a self-sufficient utopia with an organic vegetable garden, chickens, sheep and bees, while Louise spent many hours with her nose in a book dreaming of far-flung adventures.
Since studying modern and medieval French literature at Cambridge University, Louise has written for The Financial Times, The Independent, The Spectator and Condé Nast in the UK and worked with CBS, Zagat and Google in the US. As well as authoring over a dozen print and online travel guides to France and the UK for Frommer's and Penguin Random House, she has written scores of hotel reviews for the Daily Telegraph as their hotel expert on Southern and Central France. Louise is a full member of the British Guild of Travel Writers.
